ACCOUNT PLANNING MODULE
Account Planning, built for the field.
Objectives. Priorities. Activities. Tasked to the right people, on a deadline.
The account planning module within the Tika CRM platform — a configurable framework that turns strategy into trackable work across IDNs, health systems, hospitals, payers, ASCs, and clinics. Plan once, task explicitly, execute from the same record on web and iPad.

THE CHALLENGE
A plan without owners is a wishlist.
Strategy fits on a slide. Execution doesn't. Commercial account plans lose momentum where the activities live — handoffs blur across reps, RMs, MSLs, and access teams. TikaAccounts is the layer between strategy and the field: every objective drills into priorities, every priority into activities, and every activity has an owner, a deadline, and a status the whole team can see.
TWO PLANNING FRAMEWORKS
Define the plan. Work it from every facility.
Framework 1 defines what the team is driving toward — objectives, priorities, activities, owners, due dates. Framework 2 is the execution lens that brings those activities into the rep's daily view at each individual facility. Customers deploy one or both. Both share the same configuration model — libraries, statuses, attributes, and field labels are tenant-managed without code changes.
Strategic planning at the integrated network level
TikaAccounts structures the account planning process around a clear hierarchy: every objective has priorities, every priority has activities, and every activity has owners, due dates, and required-or-optional flags — so the plan translates directly into tasked, trackable work.
The strategic outcomes the account team is driving toward
Each objective has its own priorities
Each priority has assignable activities
Owner(s) · Required / Optional · Due date · Status
The strategic outcomes the team is driving toward at this account. Pulled from a curated, tenant-managed library so reps select from your playbook — not a free-text field.
The specific levers that advance the objective at this account. Configured per brand and per therapeutic area.
The concrete work that moves the priority forward. Activities are the unit of execution.
Every activity can be tasked to a single owner or a team. Activities show up on the assignee's worklist alongside their other commitments.
Flag activities as required or optional, and require completion by a pre-set date. Plans surface what's due, what's overdue, and what's done.
Framework 1 · Account context
Plus per-account components captured alongside the plan
The objective → priority → activity hierarchy doesn't sit in isolation. For each account, the module captures the context that makes the plan executable.
The institutional context that frames every planning decision at this account.
The decision-makers and influencers tied to this account — captured with role, department, and influence level so the right activity gets tasked to the right relationship owner.
Research completion captured per dimension, so the team knows what's done before picking the next priority.
Tactical execution at the hospital, ASC, clinic, or site level
Where Framework 1 defines the plan, Framework 2 is the lens reps work it through. Each individual hospital, ASC, clinic, or payer site rolls up the activities tasked to that facility — with readiness, stakeholders, embedded sales, and recent engagement on the same record.
Filtered by tier · type · segment · territory
Clinical + Access attributes per product, per account
Key Stakeholders · Contacts · Staff Directory
Tasked to the rep · due dates · required or optional · status
Filtered by tier, type, segment, state, territory, and any number of tenant-defined custom attributes. KPI tiles above the list surface what's overdue, what's due this week, and where coverage is missing.
Access Wins per product, formulary status per product, and configurable clinical & access attributes drive a real readiness picture instead of a gut call.
Three distinct layers so clinical, administrative, and office relationships stay separate: Key Stakeholders (with influence level and advocacy potential), Contacts (department leads), and Staff Directory (office-level contacts).
Every activity defined in Framework 1 appears here on the record it belongs to, with its owner, due date, required-or-optional flag, and current status. The rep updates the activity in context and the plan stays alive.
PAYER ACCOUNT PLAN
Same framework. Tuned for the payer audience.
Payers don't behave like hospitals — the stakeholders are different, the levers are different, the cycle is longer. TikaAccounts applies the same Objectives → Priorities → Activities hierarchy to the payer side, with libraries and labels tailored to medical directors, formulary committees, P&T, account directors, and pharmacy benefit managers.

What's purpose-built for the payer side
IDN plans and Payer plans appear on dedicated tabs so RMs see payer momentum independent of system momentum — with separate counts and inline status sweeps.
Every payer plan is one click from the IDNs it influences, and every IDN plan surfaces the payers that gate access. Reps plan both sides without leaving the workflow.
Payer-level plan tab shows formulary status by line of business and product — plan, coverage state, and next action live together.
Medical information requests captured against the payer flow back into the plan as evidence of engagement and scientific exchange.
The payer goal library ships pre-loaded with the categories payer teams actually use — Coverage, Pull-through, Access expansion, Contracting — and is fully replaceable per customer.
Contacts and key stakeholders carry medical director / P&T / formulary roles, and influence is tracked at the plan level — not just the institution level.
MULTI-LEVEL ACCOUNT COVERAGE
One platform. Every level your team works.
One auth model, one territory model, one configuration layer — the same objective → priority → activity hierarchy plans every level your commercial team engages.
| Level | What Gets Planned & Tasked |
|---|---|
| Hospital System / IDN | System-level objectives, priorities, and tasked activities across the entire network — paired with key attributes, contacts, and research components per account. |
| Hospital · ASC · Clinic | The execution lens: each facility's tasked activities sit alongside readiness, affiliated HCPs, stakeholders, embedded sales, and recent engagement. |
| Payer | Payer-tuned objectives (Coverage, Pull-through, Access expansion, Contracting) with priorities and activities owned by account directors and medical liaisons. |
| Affiliated Accounts | Roll-up view of every facility under a parent IDN, with cohort, year, patients, encounters, and amount-paid metrics — so system-level activities target the right facilities. |
KEY CAPABILITIES
Built around how field teams actually work.
Every capability is designed to remove the gap between the plan and the activity — so the rep updates one record, in context, and the plan stays alive.
Every activity is assigned to one or more people, flagged required or optional, and tied to a due date. Activities surface on the assignee's worklist — not buried in a plan PDF.
Track key contacts by role, department, title, and influence level so each activity gets tasked to the right relationship owner. Three distinct layers — clinical, contacts, and office staff.
P&T, payer/purchasing, surgical, and brand-specific research dimensions live on the account record — so the team knows what's done before picking the next priority.
Access Wins per product, formulary status per product, and tenant-defined attributes feed a real readiness picture — color-coded, sortable, filterable per account.
Procedure deciles, rolling 12-month units, payor mix, QTD/MTD/LTD calls, last call, last Rx — in-context on the same screen as the tasked activities.
Built for iPad use in the field — touch-optimized, offline-capable, always current. Activity status changes sync back when the device reconnects.
Objective libraries, priority catalogs, activity templates, key-attribute fields, research dimensions, readiness attributes, account tiers, and field labels — all configured per customer without code changes.
Every screen, label, and notification ships in nine languages out of the box. Users see their preferred language on first sign-in.
CONFIGURED FOR YOUR BRAND
What we set up before go-live.
Standing up a new customer is a configuration exercise, not a build. Tika works with your team to define the playbook — and the platform applies it across every screen, list, dashboard, and notification.
The objective library that anchors every IDN, payer, and facility plan.
The priority library under each objective — tailored to your therapeutic area and lifecycle stage.
The activity templates under each priority, with required-or-optional defaults and default due-date offsets.
Parent, website, segment, claims-analysis fields, tier, target, key-account flag, GPO, NCCN, site of care — all configurable.
P&T, payer / purchasing, surgical, opioid, structure, or whatever applies to your brand — what completion tracking covers.
Access Wins per product, formulary states, custom clinical & access attributes that feed the facility-level readiness picture.
The roles, departments, and influence levels that frame stakeholder mapping at every account.
The at-a-glance metrics above the account list, and the labels everywhere — Tier can be Segment, Target can be Priority, with no deploy.
A DAY IN THE WORKFLOW
From plan to task to field — in five steps.
The plan, the account, and the activity live on the same record. Reps and RMs update once, in context, on the device they're holding.
IDN, payer, or facility list shows a plan indicator on every row. RMs see plan coverage across the territory at a glance.
Pick objectives, attach priorities, task activities to owners — with due dates and required-or-optional flags. The plan is now real work.
At each facility, tasked activities sit alongside formulary status, stakeholders, linked payers, insights, sales, and access wins on the same record.
Same view on the iPad, fully offline-capable. Activity status, notes, and completion sync when the device reconnects.
The planning landing page lets RMs sweep activity status across dozens of accounts in minutes, with search and chip filters.
